Minnesota Private College Fund: Trailblazers Leadership Program
For students facing significant academic, financial, and personal barriers, earning a college degree can feel out of reach. The Trailblazers Leadership Program helps close that gap through a transformative two-year experience that combines scholarships, mentorship, leadership development, career preparation, and individualized support. Students receive the resources and relationships they need not only to stay in school, but to thrive, graduate, and pursue meaningful careers.

The program's impact is proven. Over the past decade, 80% of Trailblazers participants graduated within four years and 99% graduated within five years, far exceeding statewide graduation rates for students with significant financial need.

Thrivent Charitable's support helps make this life-changing experience possible for students who might otherwise struggle to complete college. Funding helps provide scholarships, internship stipends, housing assistance, mentorship, leadership training, career development resources, and emergency support for basic needs. These investments help remove barriers that can derail a student's path to graduation and create opportunities for long-term success.

More than financial assistance, Thrivent Charitable's support helps students build confidence, develop leadership skills, gain professional experience, and connect with mentors who guide them through academic and personal challenges. Through these relationships and opportunities, students are empowered to persist through obstacles, graduate prepared for the future, and become leaders in their communities and professions.

Every Trailblazers scholar is supported through a comprehensive, high-touch model designed to help them be seen, supported, and connected throughout their college journey. By investing in Trailblazers, Thrivent Charitable helps create opportunities for students to realize their potential and build brighter futures for themselves, their families, and their communities.

From 2013-22 the Education Fund awarded scholarships to graduating seniors who were members of churches holding endowment funds with Thrivent Charitable. We celebrate the impact made on numerous students. Beginning in 2023 grants began going to support other education related efforts for historically underserved communities.
