The International Rescue Committee (IRC) supports emergency response teams to assess needs and rush urgent aid to people fleeing war, violence, or disaster. The IRC responds within 72 hours when an emergency strikes, providing resources, intervention, and protection to affected populations. By partnering with local actors to assist those affected by crises, those closest have the power and resources to respond and drive lasting change.

Through their Crisis Response Fund, the IRC is continuously working to provide the following outcomes for the communities they support:

• Health – Access to quality, essential health services, including mental health.
• Education – Access to quality learning and integrated childhood development services.
• Safety – Access to protective service and information for the most vulnerable.
• Economic wellbeing – Immediate, lifesaving needs for civilians fleeing violence and crisis.

In 2024, the IRC helped over 36.5 million people in more than 40 countries and 25 U.S. cities through their focus on health, education, safety, and economic wellbeing.
